General and Trade Contractors are all other contractors that do not fit in one of our other classes. These contractors must obtain Pollution Prevention Practices from Environmental Risk Professionals and distribute them to their employees.


Restoration contractors must obtain Pollution Prevention Practices from Environmental Risk Professionals and distribute them to their employees. In addition, they must have been certified by one of the following three organizations:
Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration (IICRC)
Restoration Industry Association (RIA)
American Council for Accredited Certification (ACAC)
Environmental firms include environmental contractors and consultants. Environmental firms must have employees with 40-hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) training.


Transporters include those that haul both hazardous and non-hazardous materials, hazardous and non-hazardous wastes, and petroleum related products and wastes. They must obtain Pollution Prevention and Best Management Practices from Environmental Risk Professionals and distribute them to their employees. In addition, they must have an active US Department of Transportation Registration number, drivers with valid Commercial Driver’s Licenses and a qualifying pollution liability insurance policy.
Demolition contractors are highly specialized construction professionals who systematically dismantle and remove man-made structures. Their projects may include residential, commercial, infrastructure, and industrial demolition. Demolition Contractors must have employees with one or more of the following trainings from an Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) authorized training provider:
OSHA 10-Hour Construction
OSHA 20-Hour Construction
OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER
In addition, employees must have one or more of the following certifications from the National Demolition Association (NDA):
NDA Certified Demolition Supervisor (CDS)
NDA Certified Demolition Technician (CDT)
