Our Story

Environmental risks associated with contracting operations have often been overlooked and left unaddressed until after a pollution incident occurs. While many jobs require evidence of pollution liability, standard certificates of insurance are often inadequate in proving true financial responsibility. CERC is a third-party certification that recognizes contractors who obtain a true Contractors Pollution Liability (CPL) policy and train their employees to mitigate environmental risks. This streamlines the procurement process and helps contractors demonstrate to general contractors and project owners that they are a better choice. Environmental incidents at a construction jobsite have the ability to severely impact both the schedule and financing of a project. Environmental Risk Professionals has been administering CERC and raising standards for environmental best practices since 2019.
