At the age of 30, Lester L. Hudgins Jr. started Hudgins Construction in 1971 as a small general contractor business. In the 1990’s, Hudgins recognized a need in the industry and began focusing its expertise on site preparation and infrastructure development. Hudgins Construction became Hudgins Contracting Corp. and quickly became the premier site prep and infrastructure contractor in Hampton Roads. Marsha K. Hudgins was named the CEO in 2012 following her late husband, and has led the award-winning woman-owned business to complete many government and commercial projects throughout Hampton Roads.
