This certification is awarded to contractors who are leading the construction industry by implementing best management practices to minimize the risk of releasing toxic and hazardous pollutants into the environment.
Corenic is a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) based in Washington DC and licensed in Virginia, Washington DC, and Maryland. The company specializes in a variety of construction projects ranging from design, engineering, construction, project management, and planning. Managing Director Brunson L. Cooper established Corenic in 2009. Brunson L. Cooper has more than 24 years of experience in the construction industry and has established himself as a well-respected contractor in the architectural and engineering community.
Corenic has completed over 1,000 projects and has deep experience in constructing interior offices for Government end-users in leased facilities. Their extensive portfolio includes projects for Government Departments and their agencies, such as the Department of Homeland Security Federal Protective Services, Health and Human Services, the Food and Drug Administration, the Census Bureau, the DC Department of Health and Department of General Services for the District of Columbia Public Schools.

In addition to being a CERC, Corenic is a General Contractor certified with the Capital Region Minority Supplier Development Council (CRMSDC) and the local chapter of the National Minority Supplier Diversity Council (NMSDC).
